Paul&Shark Showroom
Milano 2015

Paul&Shark’s first flagship showroom consists of about 1000 square meters over two floors, where all the brand’s collections are presented. The interior design of the venue in Via Ciovassino is inspired by the characteristic concept of American industrial spaces from the early years of last century; their atmosphere has been recreated by means of carefully studied materials and furniture. The first floor features large windows and an impressive skylight with iron profiles, while the basement is linked visually to the ground floor by a double-height area, which creates an impluvium of light. The stairs are in cast iron with openings filled in with glass; like the pavements in Soho they allow light to filter and give the sturdy structure a light appearance. The floor in industrial concrete has been polished to highlight the grain, while large rough iron glazed fronts separate the interior from an imaginary garden outside. The columns are in cast iron and polychrome marble, like in prestigious offices from the early years of last century, in a booming New York. Large moveable walls made with frames in rough iron combined with glass and mirrors render the interior flexible, and feature images from the advertising campaign. The interior is completed by tables and showcases in mahogany, steel and glass which bring to mind yacht furniture.
