Townhouse
New York 2011

A six-floor building which was originally divided into several apartments has been transformed into a one-family home. The project has respected the architectural type of the townhouse, restoring and reconstructing all the original craftsmanship. Every floor has been turned into a large open space; the entrance features a very large library and a dining room, which communicates with the basement where kitchens and bathrooms are to be found. The first floor hosts a large sitting room, the second the master bedroom with a view to the garden, two bathrooms, a walk-in cabinet and a study. The guestrooms are on the third floor, while the top floor houses a study with glazed walls and a terrace. Floors and ceilings are stained with black ink.
